Trump In Los Angeles, September 17

The Revolution Club, LA sent a message for the fascist‑in‑chief and the shit-hole system of imperialism he rules over.

Trump came to California with a threat to send federal officers into major American cities to round up homeless people and relocate them to government facilities. One member of a Trump delegation who just toured California told the Washington Post, “We’re not rounding people up or anything yet.”

Homelessness is an open sore of this capitalist system, where needs as basic and simple as housing cannot be met because housing is produced for profit and cities are run by the dictates of “real estate.” The Democrats have answered this problem by passing laws that criminalize people who have lost homes and have nowhere to go, while Trump is threatening to remove people from the streets, putting them in camps, so that poverty cannot be seen. What is next? The forced labor camps of Hitler where “work shall make you free” was written over the entrances?

This capitalist/imperialist system is producing fascist movements and open dictatorships around the world in response to the extreme humanitarian crises created by the workings of imperialism—like the 60 thousand people living on the streets of LA or the tens of millions of refugees roaming the world. This obsolete system has NO answer but repression and terror against billions of people. There is nothing more needless than being homeless. That will be one of the problems the New Socialist Republic in North America would solve in its early stages. The bridge to this radically different society is an actual revolution. The Revolution Club is organizing now to prepare for the time when we can really make revolution to get rid of this system that is tormenting and terrorizing humanity.

As Trump is announcing yet another fascist offensive—threatening war on Iran with missiles “locked and loaded,” on the heels of concentration camps at the border and fascist-packed courts striking down asylum laws and women’s right to abortion: what will YOU do?

People are way too silent in the face of this but there is a way to ACT. Refuse Fascism is calling on people to take to the streets this fall, week after week leading to millions acting day after day to demand the Trump/Pence Regime Must Go Now!

The Revolution Club is joining Refuse Fascism at "When Do You Say Enough? Town Hall: A Time to Act!" (Tuesday, September 24, 6:30 PM–9:30 PM PDT, Echo Park United Methodist Church, 1226 N Alvarado St, Los Angeles, California 90026) and calling on everyone to be part of protesting Trump’s visit to LA where we demand that Trump and Pence Must Go—Now!

“You Think You’re Woke...
But You’re Sleepwalking Through A Nightmare—
This System Cannot Be Reformed, It Must Be Overthrown!”

The Republican Party Is Fascist!
The Democratic Party Is Also a Machine of Massive War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity.

This System CANNOT Be Reformed—It MUST Be Overthrown!
We Need an Actual Revolution

At a time when Trump is telling Iran “we're locked and loaded for war” and attacking homeless people, he came to LA for a Beverly Hills fundraiser. When tens of thousands should've been in the streets yelling at the top of their lungs, he was greeted by a small but determined group of protesters from Refuse Fascism and the Revolution Club, including students from campuses across the city. Despite repeated assaults by pro-Trump fascists while the police stood by, the Revolution Club delivered a message to Trump: fuck you and the shithole imperialist system you rule over. In that spirit, they burned the American rag while chanting “humanity first.” At one point, a tank full of police in riot gear swarmed the demonstration detaining a fascist and a revolutionary—the fascist was released and a member of the Revolution Club was arrested. Some of the students who came were part of a summation with the Club after. They commented on the contrast between the two sides: we maintained our calm and composure, standing with the people of the world while the other side were woman-hating frothing-at-the-mouth fascists. One young woman talked about how much she's changed since meeting the Club, within a week, going to her first protest and facing off with cops and fascists. Through this, people were exhilarated and found courage they didn't know they had. We ended the night watching the trailer from Bob Avakian's talk The Trump/Pence Regime Must Go! In the Name of Humanity, We REFUSE to Accept a Fascist America. A Better World IS Possible, making plans to bring people to the upcoming Refuse Fascism Town Hall.
