John Ashcroft, Attorney General and driving force in implementing the USA Patriot Act, is also a man with song-writing ambitions--he wrote a patriotic song shortly after September 11, 2001, and then forced Justice Department employees to sing it as a group every morning before work for weeks.

We have a different song, simpler but no less poetic we trust. And we encourage everyone to sing it on any appropriate occasion...voluntarily, of course.
