From an Abortion Rights Freedom Rider who was part of the media team for the Ride:

Abortion Rights Freedom Ride Media Coverage

September 21, 2013 | Revolution Newspaper | revcom.us

After kick-off rallies in New York and San Francisco on July 23, 2013, the Abortion Rights Freedom Ride traveled across the country for one month.  Two vans left from both coasts, met in Fargo, N.D. and then travelled down the middle of the country, through Wichita, Kansas and down to Jackson, Mississippi, rallying and gathering support along the way for "Abortion on Demand & Without Apology." While traversing the country, the Freedom Ride received significant attention from both local and national media outlets. The central message of "Abortion on Demand & Without Apology" was front and center in much of the coverage, and had real impact in beginning to change the terms of debate and breaking the shame and stigma that has for too long dominated the popular discourse of abortion. The headlines and logos in the graphic below link to most of the coverage.
